The Abundance of Giving

The Thanksgiving Holiday will soon be upon us.  We should remember that it is made up of two words “Thanks and Giving”.

I believe in helping others in my community by working within a non-profit group that raises money for those in need, such as school lunches and snacks, school supplies for teachers, scholarships and gift baskets for our shut-ins. Our organization sponsors an annual Holiday Tree Lighting and a Mother’s Day Tea, both popular and fun events.

Many Witches are shy about helping in their communities for  fear that they might not be accepted. Many are still in the “Broome” closet where they feel safe. Since Witchcraft or Wicca (whichever you choose) is the fastest growing religion in the US, the time will come when no one feels like hiding and we can all realize that we are valuable assets to any community.

Let the Holiday of Thanksgiving inspire us and give us an enriched perspective on the abundance that is possible in our lives.
